Many people who take medicines will soon be reminded when to take them by a new 'smart' pill.
A sensor is contained in the tiny pill that tells a wireless receiver patch on the person's arm when they need to take another dose, and can measure their heart rate, body temperature and even if they are getting enough sleep and exercise.
The information can be sent to the patient's phone or doctor's computer.
The pill will cost £50 a month and will be on sales from September 2012.
