Students enter the Science Olympics

Science Olympics

On Saturday 27th February, Danielle Longstaffe, Ryan Smith, Daniel Fitzpatrick and Becky Sutch visited Liverpool John Moores University to take part in the Science Olympics organised by Aim Higher.

We were joined a number of other schools from Halton as well as schools from Knowsley and St Helens. We completed a variety of tasks throughout the day testing mainly our physics and maths skills as well as ensuring that we worked well together as a team and cooperated.

We participated in 5 activities through the course of the day as well as completing a quiz and limerick and caption competitions.

At the end of the day there was a prize giving presentation in which we were awarded best limerick and were told we had been selected to attend the finals in July.
