A new vent has opened up in Hawaii's Mount Kilauea volcano.
The volcano has been erupting constantly since 1983.
Hawaii belongs to a group of volcanic islands in the Pacific Ocean, and has formed over, what Geologists call, a hostpot in the Earth's mantle.
As the part of the Earth's crust (tectonic plate) moves over this hotspot, magma rises to the surface, and erupts as lava. Over time, hte lava has cooled to form these volcanos, and left a long chain of islands, tracking over the hotspot.
